About Ran’aa Child Welfare Foundation (RCWF)

Ran’aa Child Welfare Foundation (RCWF), established in 2016 and based in Peshawar, is a registered, women-led non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of street and out-of-school children, as well as victims of child and domestic labor. Led by its founder and CEO, Mrs. Mahvesh Ali Khan, RCWF works with some of the most vulnerable and neglected segments of society—children who have been denied access to basic rights such as education, safety, healthcare, and emotional support.

RCWF is formally registered with the Social Welfare Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Federal Board of Revenue (as a Non-Profit Organization), the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Charitable Commission. The organization is also certified by Alhamd Shariah Advisory Services.

Our work is grounded in three key thematic areas: education, nutrition, and health. Through a holistic approach, we integrate both formal and non-formal education with nutrition support, trauma-informed care, psychosocial support and basic medical facilities. Currently, RCWF operates three learning centers that serve more than 300 children—including almost 100 Afghan refugee students—providing them with access to quality learning, daily meals, and a safe, nurturing environment where they can grow and thrive. To further support the wellbeing of our students and reduce the economic burden on their families, we also provide a daily allowance to enrolled children and monthly ration packages to their households.

Driven by the principles of dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, RCWF is committed to creating sustainable, community-based solutions that break the cycle of poverty for street and out-of-school children in Peshawar.
