What Makes Our Approach Distinct
GSM brings healthcare services, products and community support together through one connected network. We work with local healthcare providers, helping make essential healthcare more accessible in communities across Pakistan. Through Sabz Sitara clinics, families are able to access care, information and counselling closer to home. By building on local networks and resources, our approach can continue to support communities over the long term.
Impact Stories
Rozina Kanwal, a qualified Lady Health Visitor in Kot Mithan, Rajanpur, struggled to find stable employment after completing her training. Following her mother’s death from cancer, she became her family’s main support, working at a private facility 10 km away for Rs. 300 a day. With limited resources, she was unable to provide adequate maternal and child healthcare in her own community.
Through a Greenstar Social Marketing initiative supported by KfW, Rozina received training in maternal, newborn and child health, business management and healthcare service delivery, along with the support and infrastructure to establish her own clinic. Today, her clinic serves women and families in an underserved area, allowing her to apply her skills while helping address the local shortage of accessible healthcare.
