Al-Murtaza Educational and Social Welfare Organization (AMESWO), Hunza
Established in 1992, Al-Murtaza Educational and Social Welfare Organization (AMESWO) is a community-driven nonprofit working to uplift diverse and underserved communities in the remote mountainous regions of Northern Pakistan. For over three decades, we have been committed to expanding opportunities, strengthening resilience, and improving quality of life in some of the most geographically isolated areas of the country.
Our core areas of intervention include educational assistance, access to clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, women’s empowerment, community-based capacity building, and skill development for youth. Through scholarships, learning support programs, water and sanitation initiatives, vocational training, and grassroots leadership development, we strive to create sustainable, locally owned solutions that empower communities to shape their own futures.
At AMESWO, we believe that lasting change begins at the community level—by investing in people, especially women and young people, and by strengthening local capacities. Every project we undertake is built on trust, participation, and a deep understanding of local needs and traditions.
You can be part of this transformative journey.
Just $10 can help provide educational support, improve access to clean water, or equip a young person with skills for a better future.
