Ch. Rahmat Ali Memorial Trust (CRAMT), Township, Lahore; a charitable institution established in 1976 to undertake health care services, school education and religious studies for the underserved and marginalized masses of the neighborhood. It was established in the memory of Late Chaudhry Rahmat Ali; a Hero of Pakistan movement who coined the name “Pakistan”. It was established by Late Prof. Dr. S. M. K. Wasti along with a group of likeminded social entrepreneurs of the time. Prof. Dr. Wasti was the “First Paediatrician” of Pakistan and because of his persistent and dedicated efforts for the development and advancement of “mother, child & family healthcare”, he was given the title of “Father of Paediatrics”.

Ch. Rahmat Ali Memorial Trust is managing a hospital since 1985 with a vibrant OPD offering medical consultation along with free medicines to deserving patients. The Trust manages three educational institutions; Boys High School, Girls High School and an Early Learning school (Junior School); established on purpose built vast campuses since early 1990’s. The Trust established a Mosque and a residential religious education school as Daar-ul -Uloom since early 1990’s as well. In 2023, our hospital serves close to 200,000 patients and schools have a student body of over 2300.

Ch. Rahmat Ali Memorial Trust is registered with the Punjab Charity Commission (PCC) and Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP). All donations are tax exempted under section 2 (36) of the Income tax Ordinance 2001.The Trust manages donations/funds through a well-defined system.

The Trust has grown in its scope and extent of services during last four decades; however, there are many milestones yet to achieve.
