Legal Aid Society (LAS), Support Access to Justice in Pakistan

Founded in 2013 under the visionary leadership of Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid, former Supreme Court Judge of Pakistan, the Legal Aid Society (LAS) exists to make the justice system accessible, fair, and inclusive for the country’s most marginalized and vulnerable communities. Whether it’s a woman fighting for custody, a child survivor of abuse, or a minority facing religious persecution, LAS ensures that no one stands alone in their fight for justice.

Why LAS?

What sets LAS apart is its unique dual-impact model:

LAS provides free, direct legal aid to individuals in urgent need, those who would otherwise have no voice in the legal system. Give to LAS and help those who need it most. At the same time, we work on systemic legal reform, challenging the institutional inequities that perpetuate injustice. Support charities working on legal reform Pakistan with your donation. This grassroots-to-policy approach allows LAS to deliver both immediate relief and long-term change, transforming not only lives, but laws. Support access to justice in Pakistan through LAS.

Focus Areas – Where Your Support Goes

Access to Justice: Every minute, 04 citizens seek urgent legal aid to escape injustice. We break barriers that prevent vulnerable populations from engaging with the legal system through legal literacy, free representation, and advocacy for accessible justice mechanisms like Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Gender & Child Security: Every 02 hours, a Mother petitions court to protect her children from abuse with over 4,200 child abuse cases or a Woman reclaim her dignity—with over 4,000 Honour, Rape or Abduction cases reported in 2023 only, though most go unrecorded. We address sexual and gender-based violence, child abuse, and discriminatory family laws through survivor-centered legal aid and economic empowerment for women.

Climate Resilience & Legal Protection: In climate-impacted regions, we empower displaced and undocumented communities to access vital legal and social protection systems enabling recovery and resilience after disaster.

Freedom of Religious Belief: We defend religious minorities from forced conversions, violence, and systemic exclusion through legal intervention, community mobilization, and strategic litigation.
