Type 1 diabetes isn’t just about numbers. It’s a daily battle fought with insulin, education, and emotional strength. But for thousands of children living with type 1 diabetes in Pakistan, the fight is unfair. Insulin—the very thing keeping them alive—is out of reach, and emotional support is considered a luxury.

In Pakistan, 1 out of 2 children loses their life due to late or missed diagnosis, or a lack of essential healthcare. That’s where Meethi Zindagi steps in. Founded by Sana Ajmal, PhD who lives with type 1 diabetes herself, this nonprofit is committed to providing holistic care for individuals with type 1 diabetes—offering medical, educational, and emotional support to help them lead thriving lives.

Vision: A great life with type 1 diabetes!

About Us: Meethi Zindagi is empowering the type 1 community through a range of impactful initiatives, with empowerment and emotional support at the core. Over 1,100 children in more than 110 cities receive free, lifesaving insulin, diabetes supplies, and essential healthcare through the Promise of Insulin program (since 2017). From organizing educational and recreational workshops, camps, and events, to advocating on international stages, and from building the only nationwide virtual and in-person peer-support network for young people with type 1 diabetes and their caregivers, to developing an educational website for diabetes management—Meethi Zindagi is the flag-bearer for Pakistan’s type 1 diabetes community. And that’s just a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes!

Your donation is vital to sustain these efforts. You’re not just giving insulin—you’re giving a child the chance at a healthy, thriving future. Let’s make sure every child gets the care they deserve.
