Omar Medicare and Welfare Service
Almost twenty-eight years ago Omar Medicare opened its doors in a small room with one table and one doctor to provide medical service to those patients living in villages around 8 Kassi, at that time isolated communities.
The aim of this service was:
a) to provide doctor care to those who could not travel to Khanewal (13 km East) or Multan (35 km West), with poor roads and lack of public transport.
b) to provide free doctor consultation and free medicines to those unable to afford these services.
In the early days, Omar Medicare served about 30 patients per day.
With advancement and development in the area, Omar Medicare is now located on the major N5 highway and close to M4 motorway. Omar Medicare employees three full time and two part time Doctors and provide medical care 12 hours a day catering on average to more than 150 patients per day. One of the doctors is an eye specialist who provides eye care and eye surgery at subsidized cost throughout the year. Since 1995 Omar Medicare also hold an annual eye camp.

GOAL:
To provide quality outpatient care to all those in need in this area at concessional rates.
Omar Medicare’s future aim is to provide 24-hour service.
Omar Medicare is registered with The Government of Punjab, Directorate of Social Welfare.
Omar Medicare is located on a major highway, where frequent accidents occur. They provide primary emergency care to those in need before shifting them to larger hospitals in Multan, in ambulance, free of cost.
