Brief Overview

The Omer-e-Rawan (OR) Foundation was born from the conviction that a child’s health should never be a matter of “luck” or “location.” Founded in January 2025, we serve the thousands of children in Pakistan’s public schools who navigate their education while carrying the silent, heavy burdens of untreated illness and psychological distress. Our primary work is to reclaim the school as a sanctuary by establishing permanent, on-campus Wellness Centers-bringing life-saving care directly to the doorstep of those who need it most.

We provide a “one-window” lifeline where physical screenings, nutritional support, and trauma-informed counseling are not luxuries, but fundamental rights. By healing the “fractured triangle” between overwhelmed parents, teachers, and the child, we ensure no student’s struggle goes unnoticed because their family cannot afford a doctor or leave their daily wage labor.

Our impact is measured in more than just 11,000 digital health records or 165 trained teachers; it is seen in students, whose health has been restored when their family had lost hope. We aim to create a future where every child possesses the physical and emotional resilience to dream. By advocating for these centers to become a national standard, we are building a legacy where a child’s potential is limited only by their imagination, not their poverty.

Core Programs and Services

The Omer-e-Rawan (OR) Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative established in January 2025 to address the “silent epidemic” of physical and mental health challenges within Pakistan’s public education system. The organization specializes in school-based wellness by operating permanent centers that provide integrated medical screenings and psychological support directly on campus.

Our primary work involves a “one-window” approach to student health, encompassing clinical assessments for vision, nutrition, and general physical conditions alongside trauma-informed counseling. During its inaugural year, the Foundation successfully screened over 11,000 students and trained 165 educators in health literacy across three primary hubs in Islamabad: IMCG F-11/3, ICG F-6/2, and IMCB F-8/4.

What Makes Our Approach Distinct

What sets us apart is our refusal to let a child’s health be a matter of “luck” or “location.” We don’t just host clinics; we reclaim the school as a sanctuary by building permanent Wellness Centers on-campus.

The heart of our innovation lies in healing the fractured triangle between the teacher, the parent, and the child-the real stakeholder. We act as the vital bridge, bringing parents into the fold and closing the communication gap that so often leaves a child’s struggle unnoticed. By bringing health to the doorstep and ensuring no child is ignored because a parent cannot leave work, we don’t just treat symptoms-we protect a child’s dignity and a family’s hope.

Impact Stories

Impact Story: A Heartbeat Restored

Individual: Ayesha Asad (Grade 6, IMCG F-11/3)

The Challenge: During a routine mass screening, our medical team discovered something Ayesha’s smile had been hiding a high-risk cardiac condition that threatened to cut her bright future short. While her family knew she was unwell, they were paralyzed by a complex, daunting healthcare system and the crushing realization that life-saving surgery was a financial impossibility. For Ayesha’s parents, the choice was agonizing—the cost of a heartbeat was more than they could ever afford.

The Support Provided: The Omer-e-Rawan (OR) Foundation stepped into the gap to ensure that a lack of resources would not become a death sentence. We didn’t just provide a referral; we took total guardianship of Ayesha’s journey. Our team navigated the overwhelming maze of the public health system, allowing her parents to maintain their livelihood while we secured her a place at PAF Hospital. By leveraging our specialized network, OR covered every expense—from the initial diagnostic tests to the complex surgery and the critical postoperative follow-ups.

The Outcome Achieved: Ayesha’s heart is now beating strong. The surgery was a success. and the girl who once struggled for breath is now back in her classroom, vibrant and full of life. This wasn’t just a medical intervention; it was the removal of a life-threatening shadow over an entire family. Ayesha is no longer a “patient” -she is a thriving student with a second chance. Her story is the ultimate proof of our “zero delay” promise: when a child’s life is on the line, and a parent is overwhelmed, the Foundation becomes the family they need.
