Net Zero Pakistan (NZP) is a coalition mobilizing the private sector to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Under this initiative, the NZP team is driving work on capacity building for sustainability professionals and also working to attract catalytic finance for large-scale industrial decarbonization projects.
Through its Carbon Pathways Programme, PET is driving efforts to develop a voluntary carbon offsets market in Pakistan. By focusing on high-quality projects that have a positive impact on last-mile communities, PET is promoting the potential of nature-based solutions to mitigate climate change.
PET’s Rewild Pakistan program is dedicated to re-introducing species that were once widespread across the continent but are now locally extinct in Pakistan. This includes the Greater One-horned Rhino and Cheetah, which PET aims to re-establish in restored ecosystems in Pakistan.
With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and impact, PET is playing a critical role in building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future for Pakistan.
