The Read Foundation focuses on education. It believes education is the only true long-term strategy to ensure sustainable change. Lack of education is the root cause of poverty and the primary reason for widespread crime, begging and child slave labour.

The Read Foundation has been implementing educational and welfare projects since 1994. The Read Foundation launched its first school in a small far-flung village, Riala – district Bagh, Azad Kashmir. Over the years, the organisation has grown to become one of the leading NGOs working for quality education in rural Pakistan.
