Teach For Pakistan is a registered Section 42, non-profit organisation working to expand educational opportunities for children in Pakistan. We are part of the Teach For All global network, alongside organisations in over 60 countries committed to ensuring all children can fulfill their potential.
We exist because Pakistan’s education system denies our children the opportunities they deserve. Many children attend school but remain years behind grade-level expectations. In the under-resourced schools where we work, students are, on average, 4–5 years behind grade level when Fellows begin teaching.
Teach For Pakistan recruits, trains, and supports outstanding graduates and young professionals to commit two years of full-time teaching in under-resourced schools. Through ongoing coaching and support, Fellows deliver strong, consistent classroom instruction that rebuilds foundational literacy and numeracy, supports academic recovery, and strengthens school culture in close partnership with families and school leaders.
To date, Teach For Pakistan has supported over 38,000 students across 141 schools. Today, 183 Fellows teach 12,000+ students in Karachi and Islamabad’s under-resourced schools. An Independent evaluation by the RAND Corporation shows that students in Teach For Pakistan classrooms make 6–16 months of additional learning gains compared to peers in similar school contexts.

Teach For Pakistan’s impact extends beyond the classroom. After completing the two-year Fellowship, Alumni continue working across education, public service, social innovation, and policy. They lead schools and organisations, train teachers, shape public programmes, and design solutions that strengthen Pakistan’s education system. Collectively, Teach For Pakistan’s 352 Alumni have expanded opportunities for over 1.8 million children nationwide.
Your support, including Zakat, helps sustain high-quality teaching today and create educational equity across Pakistan’s education systems. Teach For Pakistan’s Zakat distribution is certified to be Shariah-compliant by Al Hamd.
