Team Karachi Welfare Society (International)® is a humanitarian and development organization, registered in Pakistan under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860, having KAR No. 191 of 2015-16 and head-quartered in Karachi and implementing social welfare initiatives throughout Pakistan. Deserving marginalized communities are assisted through the Foundation’s operations irrespective of race, faith, color, age, economic status or political opinion. The Foundation work with marginalized deserving communities of the Society to overcome the impacts of inequalities and lead peaceful, dignified and resilient lives.
Over the last a decade, the Foundation has supported more than 1 million individuals spread around 20 districts of the Country.
Presently, the Foundation is certified by Pakistan Center of Philanthropy (PCP) and accepted non-profit organization by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) thereby indicates the transparency of operations of the Foundation.
History of the Foundation
The Foundation’s journey began over a decade ago, when Pakistan was hit by massive rains and flooding in 2009-10. Realizing the quantum of disaster and the havoc which it created, lead to a group of philanthropists to join hands in providing immediate relief to the affected communities.
Owing to continuous disasters in Pakistan and the urgent need of relief items to the already poverty struck communities led the Foundation to formalize their operations in 2015-16. The Foundation comprised of a committed Governing Board and a diverse team which works through a robust framework while maintaining strong Compliance with Shariah Principles.
The Foundation focus areas include: Emergencies, Education, Water projects, Rozgar and self-sustainability projects including different skills development programs, Ration, Qurbani, Tree plantation, food distribution and etc.

Mission
The mission of the Foundation is it to work for the upliftment of underprivileged members of society through welfare and social development activities and to provide technical skills, equipment and sustainable opportunities to the under privileged and deprived members of the society.

Welfare Projects
- Education
The Foundation believes that education plays a vital role in the prosperity of the communities. Currently, the Foundation runs Scholarship Projects for poor students and supports Islamic Conventional Educational Institutions across the country by providing them with desired goods or cash on need basis.
- Sadqa-e-Jaria Projects
The Foundation offers a wide range of Sadqa-e-Jaria Projects. Projects being offered in this category include Masjid and Maktab Project, Water Project, Tree Plantation and Qurbani Projects. The Foundation has constructed and rehabilitated around 47 mosques in various parts of the country especially in the areas of interior Sindh and Punjab and initiated a number of water projects which includes Normal Hand Pump project, Deep hand Pump Project, Solar Summer Pump With Water tank Project, Normal Traditional Tube Well Project and etc.
- Social Development:
The Foundation plays a prominent role in the development of the Society at large. It provides marriage assistance, clothes and monthly ration to poor and deserving people.
The Foundation also provides the services of Sadqa and Aqiqah at reasonable price in different areas of Karachi, Interior Sindh and Punjab. This meat is then distributed among the underprivileged in the nearby area.
- Health:
The Foundation has sponsored a dispensary in Jamia Ashrafya, Mankot. Approximately more than 15,000 people benefit from the OPD services monthly. A full time qualified doctor is serving there on regular basis.
- Food:
The Foundation is working to its best to contribute to this growing challenge of food security by providing health and nutritious food items in far flung areas and also to attendees of patients in different hospitals in the city.
- Emergency Relief:
The Foundation initiatives help disaster-affected communities meet their immediate food, non-food, shelter, health, and other needs. So far it has provided alleviation during all floods and earthquakes came and Covid-19 period.
