Vision Health Care Foundation (VHCF) is a leading non-profit organisation registered with SECP under section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 in Pakistan, dedicated to providing inclusive, high-quality, and accessible eye care services, particularly for underserved communities and individuals with disabilities.
Co-founded and led by Dr. M. Mazhar Awan, VHCF evolved in 2022 from Vision Trust (established in 2009) and, previously, from a Welfare Association in 2002, and has grown from a small charitable clinic into a nationally recognised institution, with more than two decades of relentless not-for-profit service.
The Foundation manages Khairunnisa Eye Hospital in Karachi and provides primary eye care and school health services in Karachi and Attock (Punjab). It runs extensive school and community health programs, alongside professional training initiatives in eye health, with a strong focus on school health, disability inclusion, equity, and community-based interventions.
VHCF has delivered over 400,000 outpatient consultations, performed more than 40,000 sight-restoring surgeries, screened 60,000 school children, and conducted 500+ outreach activities to date. As an ISO 9001:2015-certified organisation, it is committed to delivering care with compassion and quality. It aims to expand its services nationwide, collaborating with partners to school health, community-based eye care, and disability-inclusive programs.
