About Teach For Pakistan
Teach For Pakistan is a national movement to end educational inequity by building a new generation of leaders committed to transforming the education system. We are a registered, Shariah-compliant nonprofit and the independent Pakistani partner in the Teach For All global network of 60+ organizations expanding educational opportunity worldwide.
Why We Exist
Pakistan faces a severe education crisis: 26 million children are out of school, and half of all fifth graders cannot read or do basic math problems at a second grade level. At the root of this crisis is a leadership gap. Transforming education requires bold, values-driven individuals who understand the realities of underserved classrooms and are equipped to lead change from within.
What We Do
Through our two-year Fellowship, Teach For Pakistan places exceptional graduates and professionals as full-time teachers in under-resourced government schools. Fellows receive world-class training and coaching to improve student learning and school culture. Afterward, they join our Alumni network, leaders driving reform across education, policy, technology, research, and governance.
Proven Impact
- 433 Fellows recruited and trained since 2018, to teach over 30,000 students in 101 public schools.
- 183 Fellows currently teaching over 12,000 students in high-need classrooms.
- 350+ Alumni influencing education systems, having reached over 1.8 million children nationwide.
- Independent research by RAND shows Fellows’ students have upto 16 months of greater learning as compared to their peers in non-TFP classrooms in just 6 months.
Driving Systemic Change
Our model is inspiring government-led reforms nationwide, from the Education Fellows Program in Gilgit-Baltistan to the National Institute of Excellence in Teacher Education (NIETE) in Islamabad and Balochistan, proving teacher leadership can reshape Pakistan’s education system.
Our Vision 2025–2028
- Recruit and develop 405 new Fellows
- Reach 57,000 students across 75 government schools in Karachi and Islamabad
- Grow an Alumni network of 502 leaders driving long-term systemic change across the country
Donate today and be part of the movement for educational equity. Together, we can ensure every child in Pakistan receives the education they deserve.
