Fatimid Foundation is a symbol of hope for thousands of children and adults battling blood and bleeding disorders of thalassemia and hemophilia. Each year, about 5,000 children are born with thalassemia major nationwide. Karachi, being a densely populated urban center, has a proportionally higher number of patients who are in need of regular blood transfusions and specialized care.
To address this critical need, Fatimid Foundation is embarking on the construction of a flagship center i.e. an state-of-the-art Hematological Complex, offering completely free-of-cost care. This new facility, with a covered area of 40,500 sq. ft., will be built in two phases to meet the growing demands of our patients.
The new facility will offer:
- Enhanced Patient Care: Modern infrastructure with a hospital-like setting, ensuring a more comfortable and dignified experience for patients and their families.
- Increased Capacity: The first phase, spanning 20,500 sq. ft., will allow us to treat significantly more patients than our current facility, reducing waiting times and improving service delivery.
- Centralized Services: All essential care, including transfusions, counseling, diagnostics, physiotherapy and other related services will be housed under one roof, ensuring seamless support for patients.
The total estimated cost for this life-saving project is Rs. 600 million, with the first phase costing Rs. 250 million. Your support can make the dream of this vital complex a reality.
