Pakistan’s 2025 monsoon floods have left 842 dead, 1,117 injured, 2,934 houses destroyed, 1,108 livestock lost, 152 bridges damaged, and 451 km of roads washed away (NDMA, 29 Aug 2025). Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the worst hit with 210+ deaths, including 158 in Buner, while in Punjab, rising rivers forced the evacuation of over 150,000 people and inundated 1,400 villages. Sindh battles urban flooding and crop loss, and Gilgit-Baltistan faces landslides plus a newly formed 7 km-long lake in Ghizer. The government has launched mass evacuations, relief camps, and dewatering operations.

HANDS is on the ground providing food, medical care, and emergency relief to affected families.

Our Current Response

Since June, HANDS has been working tirelessly on 24/7 emergency alert, standing alongside communities as the floods uprooted lives.

  • In Karachi, 600 volunteers and 30 staff were mobilized within hours
  • Trained teams spread across Punjab and KP to support evacuations, assess urgent needs, and deliver relief.
  • In Buner, among the hardest-hit districts, families received food rations feeding 2,800 people, medicines through mobile clinics, and mosquito nets to guard against disease.

By working hand in hand with PDMAs and local committees, HANDS is not just responding to the disaster—it is helping families hold on to dignity, health, and hope in the face of immense loss.

HANDS teams are reaching flood affected families with:

  • Shelter kits for those without homes
  • Food rations for immediate survival
  • Gas cylinders for cooking
  • Safe drinking water and jerry cans
    Hygiene packs to prevent disease

These are not just supplies
They are lifelines for survival and hope.
