Karachi Vocational Training Centre (KVTC)
Established in 1991, KVTC provides inclusive academic and vocational training to differently-abled individuals across Karachi. With strong industry-linked programs and employment outcomes, it supports students from underserved areas where access remains limited.
The Need
As enrollment grows, KVTC’s transport system can no longer meet demand. Students from distant areas face long, inconsistent commutes, limiting regular attendance and access to training.
The Solution
KVTC aims to add a Toyota Hiace Commuter (High Roof, Dual A/C) to its free transport service. This will improve route coverage, reduce travel time, and ensure a safer, more reliable commute for students.
Beneficiaries
The primary beneficiaries are differently-abled students enrolled at KVTC, including individuals with physical, intellectual and developmental challenges. The improved transport facility will ensure consistent attendance, better engagement and enhanced learning outcomes. Families will also benefit by reducing logistical stress and financial burden utilizing KVTC’s free transport facility option.
The Impact
The addition of this vehicle will significantly increase KVTC’s outreach, enabling more students to enroll and attend regularly. It will reduce absenteeism, improve punctuality and enhance the overall learning experience. With better access, students can fully benefit from KVTC’s programs, leading to higher skill acquisition and employment outcomes.
