Donation Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The i-Care Fund America, Inc. (ICFA) donation platform. By using this website and making a donation, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Donation Process

  • All donations made through this website are processed by The i-Care Fund America, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) public charity in the United States.
  • ICFA partners with The i-Care Foundation in Pakistan, an independent nonprofit organization, for the disbursement of funds, due diligence of Pakistani charities, and monitoring of funded projects.
  • Funds granted to eligible Pakistani charities are disbursed through The i-Care Foundation in Pakistan, following ICFA’s compliance requirements and approval processes.

2.Fund Allocation & Reallocation

  • Donations are non-refundable.
  • Reallocation Requests:
    If you realize after making a donation that you have inadvertently selected an incorrect charity or charities; you may request a reallocation to another charity or charities within 72 hours of your donation by emailing info@i-care america.org.
    Please note that donations are non-refundable; only reallocation requests can be accommodated within this window.
  • Unallocated Donations:
    If a donation is received without a specified charity, sector, or fund, the contribution will be temporarily placed in an unallocated category. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the available contact information on
    record. If we do not hear from you within six months of the donation date, or if we are unable to reach you despite these efforts, i-Care may allocate the funds to charitable initiatives aligned with its mission.
  • Unutilized or Undisbursable Funds:
    Disbursement of funds is subject to the submission of a valid Fund Utilization Plan (FUP) by the partner charity.
  • Non-Submission of FUP:
    Where a partner charity fails to submit an FUP for a continuous period of eight (8) months from the date the funds are received:If donation above USD 500:
    i-Care shall make reasonable efforts to contact the donor using the contact information available on record to seek guidance on reallocation. If no response is received within two (2) months of such efforts, the funds may be reallocated to another partner organization pursuing a similar charitable purpose.
    If donations below USD 500:
    Such funds may be reallocated to another partner organization pursuing a similar charitable purpose.
  • Cessation of Partner Charity:
    In the event a partner charity dissolves, becomes inactive, or otherwise ceases operations, the reallocation framework set out above shall apply.

3. Receipt Cancellation and Re-Issuance

i-Care reserves the right to cancel a donation receipt where necessary to ensure accuracy, compliance, or proper record-keeping. Receipt cancellation may occur for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Corrections or updates requested by the donor
  • Administrative or data corrections made by i-Care
  • Payment reversals, failed payments, or chargebacks
  • Adjustments arising from compliance, audit, or regulatory review

Once a receipt has been cancelled, it is deemed void and may not be used for tax- deduction or reporting purposes.

Where applicable, and subject to verification, i-Care may issue a revised receipt with a new receipt number. The issuance of a revised receipt does not occur automatically and is dependent on the finalization of accurate and complete information.

Donors are responsible for maintaining accurate tax records and are encouraged to consult their tax advisor where a cancelled or revised receipt has already been referenced for tax or reporting purposes.

4. Zakat & Donation Guidelines

  • You may donate to multiple charities in one transaction.
  • Zakat and non-Zakat funds must be donated in separate online transactions.
  • For wire transfers or checks, Zakat and non-Zakat amounts may be combined—clear written allocation instructions must be provided.
  • When you select Zakat while donating online, only Zakat-eligible charities appear.

5. Vetting, Due Diligence & Compliance

i-Care Fund America (ICFA) applies a comprehensive vetting and compliance framework consistent with applicable U.S. charitable, tax, and regulatory requirements.
This framework includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verification of nonprofit status, legal registrations, and regulatory standing of recipient organizations
  • Review of governance structures, board oversight, and institutional credibility
  • Assessment of program design, implementation capacity, and oversight mechanisms
  • Evaluation of policies, controls, and practices against standards comparable to those applicable to U.S. public charities

To support this process, The i-Care Foundation (Pakistan) conducts local due diligence, charity verification, and ongoing program monitoring on ICFA’s behalf, in accordance with ICFA’s compliance and reporting requirements.

In addition, ICFA reserves the right to conduct due diligence on donors, donations, and transactions in accordance with U.S. laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements. Where required by law, or where suspicious or potentially non-compliant activity is identified, ICFA may delay, decline, suspend, or report transactions to the relevant authorities and regulators.

6. Sustainability Contribution

A 5% contribution from all donations supports ICFA’s operational, grantmaking, and compliance processes.

7.Payment Gateway & Bank Charges

  • Additional bank or payment processing fees may apply.
  • These charges are set by your financial institution or payment provider and are not retained by ICFA.

8. Donation Receipts & Tax Benefits

  • Donors receive an official U.S. tax receipt issued by ICFA after funds are credited in i-Care’s account.
  • Contributions to ICFA may be tax-deductible in the United States, subject to IRS rules and individual circumstances.

9. Right to Decline Donations

ICFA may review or decline donations at its discretion. Refunds, if applicable, may be processed depending on the situation and compliance requirements.

10. Donor Responsibilities

Donors must provide accurate information, including:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Postal address

11. Donor Representations & Warranties

By donating, the donor confirms that:

  • The funds are lawful and not derived from illegal or fraudulent activity.
  • They are not on government sanctions lists such as OFAC or SDN.
  • Donations are voluntary and do not entitle the donor to goods, services, or
    preferential treatment.

12. ICFA’s Responsibilities

ICFA will:

  • Issue official donation receipts
  • Conduct compliance checks and due diligence
  • Disburse funds once all required documentation is complete

As part of this process, The i-Care Foundation in Pakistan assists ICFA with:

  • Local due diligence of Pakistani charities
  • Disbursement of funds within Pakistan
  • Project monitoring and reporting

13. Data Privacy & Security

How We Use Your Information

ICFA safeguards donor information in accordance with U.S. federal and state privacy standards.

Personal data is used only for:

  • Donation processing
  • Receipt issuance
  • Compliance reporting
  • Essential donor communication
  • Marketing and outreach activities aimed at increasing awareness of and support for i-Care’s charitable mission

Your personal information is not sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Any use of data for marketing or outreach is conducted securely, in line with applicable privacy standards, and strictly for purposes aligned with i-Care’s charitable objectives. Information may be shared only where required by law or to meet regulatory obligations.

14. Communications Consent

By donating, you consent to receiving updates via:

  • Email
  • Text message
  • WhatsApp
  • iMessage
  • Postal mail
  • Phone call (if necessary)

You may opt out of non-essential messages anytime. Transactional and legally required notices will still be sent.

15. Data Access

  • Your information is securely stored and managed by ICFA and The i-Care Foundation.
  • Any other partner charity does not receive donor personal data.

16. Credit Card Information

  • ICFA does not store credit card information.
  • Payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS–compliant providers.

17. General Terms of Use

  • You must provide accurate information when using the website.
  • Fraudulent or unlawful activity is strictly prohibited.
  • All website content is the property of ICFA.
  • ICFA is not responsible for delays due to force majeure events (e.g., natural
    disasters, cyberattacks, pandemics).
  • ICFA is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
  • ICFA is not responsible for the content of external websites linked from this platform.
  • Terms may be updated periodically; continued use of the website implies acceptance of updated terms.

18. Final Confirmation

By donating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
